59 Broadway – Asheville, NC

The three-story building in downtown Asheville was built in 1922 and housed various businesses over the years. Prior to our renovation project which created a Retail space on the street level and three Residential units on the upper two floors, the building had remained vacant for years. The basement accommodates parking and storage. All building systems were updated and code-compliant exiting and fire-ratings were incorporated. The project was approved by the National Park Service and the State Historic Preservation Office and was awarded both state and federal historic tax credits. Unique to this building, a centrally-located outdoor courtyard was created within the original building footprint.
